The relationship between Sartre and anti-Semitism seems to be reduced, in recent years, to the discussion around the attitude adopted by the philosopher against the collaboration regime of Vichy1. This, however, is not where we intend to begin our investigation. We will, on the contrary, attempt to critically question ourselves starting from the theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of anti-Semitism that Sartre developed in the pages of an essay published in the mid-Forties: Réflexions sur la question juive.
